Calibre Consulting was engaged to identify the most effective road infrastructure and policy solutions to help double Queensland’s drive tourism market by 2020. Our team undertook desktop investigations of road infrastructure across more than 12,000km of Queensland road networks.
The assessment provided a solid basis to identify the most appropriate avenues of investment to promote growth in the drive tourism industry, including new tourism routes, road upgrades, rest areas, and information/ signage. A 20-year $250m package of priority works – short, medium and longer term – was a key output.
Our on-time delivery enabled the client team to move forward and progress discussions, based on solid findings, with state government agencies, tourism peak bodies, local government and tourism operators.
